The privacy of all our users and data subjects is of utmost importance to CompanySpotter. We support protecting the privacy rights of all our clients and organizations included in our search engine as a fundamental part of our business operations (privacy by design). Since privacy is embedded at the core of our business, our success depends on our ability to maintain the trust of all people who use our services. To this end, we have two overriding policies:
Before customers of CompanySpotter, can receive advertising or promotions, customers must have agreed to receive such messages. Any recipient may request to be removed from our list at any time, and we will comply with that request. In addition, we will thoroughly investigate all allegations made by recipients regarding unsolicited messages.
We require that all emails promoting CompanySpotter or its services be sent only to customers who have consented to receive such messages. We prohibit any advertising of our brand and website through unsolicited e-mail messages. Failure to comply with this policy will result in termination of the partnership and/or affiliate account.
If you believe you have received unsolicited emails advertising our company, our brand, our services or our website and wish to make a complaint about it, please contact our privacy department at [email protected]. We will promptly investigate all allegations regarding unsolicited messages.
The legal definition and status of spam varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but in essence, spam can be defined as unsolicited e-mail sent in bulk. Any promotion or invitation sent via e-mail to a person without that person's prior consent can be considered spam. Exceptions to this definition may apply if there is a pre-existing relationship between the sender and the recipient, or if there is a legal obligation to inform a data subject.
Below is an overview of some possible examples of spam. This is for illustrative purposes only. We always advise all parties involved to be explicitly and specifically informed in advance about the laws and regulations in the applicable jurisdiction.
